Strategic Finance

Created a dynamic business model to develop the full business case financials for a £400m capex technology investment. Designed and populated the model, creating detailed cash flow forecasts and investment return information. Developed a number of scenarios, allowing each to be thoroughly evaluated as part of the business case submission. 

Programme Delivery

Led a global programme to design and deliver capability for compliance with operational tax regulations for a wholesale bank. Engaged when the programme’s status was red, identified and secured backing for a path to green, mobilised the initiative, hired staff and led the design and deployment of technology solutions and business processes, including remediation of existing customers, to meet regulatory deadlines.

Process Automation

Designed and delivered automation of reporting processes for a global bank's capital management function, transforming the function’s operations, turning mundane tasks into automated workflows and empowering treasury professionals to focus on value-adding activities.  See Case Study

Project Portfolio Management

Created a mechanism for a client to assess their portfolio of projects, allowing them to understand which projects were likely to deliver stated benefits and when versus those that were likely to not make a return.

Reporting Process Remediation 

Remediated a global bank's tax reporting process, ensuring that it effectively complied with the necessary regulations globally and avoided sanction and associated costs and reputational damage from the regulatory authorities. See Case Study

Delivery of Target State Capability 

Re-engineered the end to end debt booking model for a financial services holding company. Defined and delivered the target state infrastructure, operating model and controls, and migrated all existing deals from the legacy solution to the new platform.

M&A Integration 

Coordinated the ‘Day One Close’ activities for a client to complete the purchase of another institution’s exchange traded futures and options business, making sure the change of ownership went smoothly in all sites and the business was seamlessly migrated over a single weekend.

Contract Negotiation 

Undertook pricing negotiations with telecommunications vendors for DSL technology as part of a major telecoms infrastructure build-out. Succeeded in obtaining a 40% reduction from the initial proposal.
