Are you on top of your workload?


Now the summer is over, people are back at work and the end of the year is only three months away, plus December is really only half a month for many firms! Many managers will probably be looking at their list of items to complete by year end and start to wonder how it will all get done. Whilst it may be tempting to believe that exhorting staff to work harder will yield the required results this is usually wishful thinking given their existing workload, and with unforeseen issues likely to crop up there is a real risk that key deliverables will not be achieved.


For those of us that have been in this position, being proactive and requesting additional staff doesn’t always yield the desired results. Lengthy recruitment timelines often mean that even if the right resource is identified, they will often not start early enough to make the necessary impact. Some may be tempted to turn to larger consultancies to provide some additional horse


power but the cost/benefit ratios rarely look good and the consultants provided are often too inexperienced to turn the dial in time.


It can make sense to engage smaller, niche consultancies, to provide targeted support from seasoned practitioners who can quickly act to address issues collaboratively and focus on achieving key milestones.
